We already have Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so why not get his buddy Finn, too? John Boyega has the charisma to play a great Cyborg, and we already got a slight glimpse of what he would look like when we first saw him as a stormtrooper in The Force Awakens trailer. Porter has voiced superheroes in other video games a few times, including Aquaman in Lego Batman 3, so he clearly would have interest in actually hitting the big screen as one. Still, that doesn’t disqualify him from playing The Flash, which is a role he has been rumored for in the past. I didn’t even know until writing this, but Scott Porter actually voiced Robin for the Injustice 2 game. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is actually playing Black Adam in an upcoming Shazam! movie, but I like Isaac for this one. Isaac has shown good versatility as an actor with roles in Ex Machina, A Most Violent Year, and Inside Llewyn Davis, so he should be able to take on the part of Black Adam, who is on Superman’s side and spends much of his time alongside Wonder Woman or Aquaman. Instead, Hammer gets to play the King of Atlantis, who plays a big role in the battle between Batman and Superman, and also the fight against Braniac. I already brought up how Hammer nearly played Bruce Wayne in 2007, and he was considered for the lead again here, but at 6’5”, he would be too tall for Matt Bomer’s Superman. Brainiac actually has some similarities to Walter White in that they are both intimidating and intellectual, and we know Cranston could pull off a bald head. It helps that Biel is no stranger to physically demanding roles.Ĭranston was my favorite choice for Lex Luthor and Commissioner Gordon in the DCEU, but there are still other roles he could play in a superhero movie, including the main villain in our Injustice 2 film. Yes, a decade has passed, but Biel is probably an even better fit for the role now than she was before, as Miller’s adaption was going to be a really young Justice League (Batman was going to be played by a 20-year-old Armie Hammer). Way back in 2007, Jessica Biel was a possible choice for Wonder Woman in George Miller’s unmade Justice League movie. Alice Eve is known for her roles in Star Trek Into Darkness, She’s Out of My League, and a brief appearance in Entourage, and doesn’t just look the part of Supergirl just take a listen to her American accent. Henry Cavill was a mystery to me when he was cast as Superman, and he’s done a great job despite what the critics think.Ī new addition to Injustice 2, Supergirl is the “older” cousin of Superman (she was in hyper-sleep while Kal-El grew up on Earth), but she sides with Batman after she sees how the two handle crime. I didn’t even know who Matt Bomer was until I watched him in The Nice Guys as the villain John Boy, but he has the looks and talent to play a convincing rogue Superman.

Plus, it’d be hard to headline a blockbuster movie with someone better than the Oscar-nominated 36-year old. This was a really tough choice, but Gyllenhaal could pull off both Bruce Wayne and The Dark Knight. Jake Gyllenhaal almost being Batman has been well documented, and we finally give him the opportunity here. If you are unfamiliar with a real-life person, their IMDB pages are linked. Besides that, I will choose actors and actresses based on how they would play the video game characters based mostly on talent and looks. For example, Ben Affleck cannot play Batman, but he would be able to play Superman (he doesn’t). So, there is just one rule for this casting exercise: the choices cannot have already played that particular character.
